ABSENTEE HUSBAND
PICTURE SEEN IN FILM WORKER IN NEW ZEALAND LONDON, Dec. 14 A Cheshire woman, Mrs. Annie Wood, saw a picture of her husband in a newsreel film working as a glass ship-model-ler in New Zealand. It was the first time she had seen him for 16 years. They went to New Zealand in 1913, but Airs. Wood returned eight years later, her husband remaining, owing to business reasons. From inquiries made in Auckland yesterday it appears possible that the glassblower mentioned in the cablegram may be a member of a sideshow which was seen at the Winter Show earlier 111 the year. The manager of the Australian Glass Manufacturers Company, Penrose, Mr. W. M. Kerns, said that no newsreel had been made at the Penrose works, although several had been made at tho Sydney works. Occasionally glassblowers were employed at Penrose, but ho know of no one named Woods.
