EGYPT'S DEFENCES COST OF £19,700,000 CAIRO, Dee. 14 The Defence Council has approved a five-year-plan for reorganising the defences of Egypt at a cost of £19,700,000. The allocations are £0,000,000 for air defence, comprising 500 aeroplanes; £12,000,000 for the Army of four divisions, totalling 80,000 men; £1,000,000 for the Navy; and £700,000 for armament factories.
