MAORI BOY MISSING
DISAPPEARS FROM FARM NO TRACE FOR TWO DAYS SEARCH IN MOKAU DISTRICT [by telkgrafh—OWN* correspondent] NEW PLYMOUTH, Thursday A Maori boy nanled Mana Te Hau, aged about 16, disappeared from the home of Mr. Hetta Phillips, with whom he lived at Mohakatino, six miles from Mokau, on Tuesday evening. Up to to-night ho had not been heard of or seen. The boy and his sister have lived for some years with Mr. Phillips since the death of their parents. After finishing milking on Tuesday night the boy wont to the house, had tea and later complained of feeling unwell. Ho went out about 7 o clock and has not been seen since. When the boy failed to turn up at bedtime Mr. Phillips was not seriously concerned, as lie thought he might have gone to visit an amusement show at Awakino. When he wont to call the boy yesterday morning and found that his bed had not boon slept in"** communicated with Constable Poue • of Mokau, who began to make, investigations. A search is being made.
