COMING CUP CONTEST DETAILS OF THE HANDICAPS LAWN DERBY BACKMARKER i 9 FOURTEEN' PLACED ON LIMIT Tho following handicaps for the first day of the Auckland Trotting Club's Summer Meeting, to be held at Alexandra Park, Epsom, on December 27, 29 and 31, have been declared by Mr. A. Tronson:—

On the course proper, Kokako proved too solid for the two-year-old Chief Lord over threo furlongs along the back run in 395. Chief Lord will require time. Lady Kyra had the measure of Notimn at the end of seven furlongs run in 1.34 3-5, the first four furlongs taking 535. Colonel Bunsby and Miss Paulmond ran five, furlongs in 1.9, Fiancee and Silver Gift recording 1.6., Fiancee is in first-rate order. Dark Eagle and; Prime Quality completed five furlough in 1.6 4-5. Both colts worked pleasingly. Gold Glare and Marquis, kept up to their work, recorded 1.6 2-5. Raco Call impressed by recording 1.6 without being hurried. Narrator completed a round of pacework by running five furlongs in 1.8. On- the plough, Silvanus strode over six furlongs, without being bustled, in 1.24. Ramloli finished better than Lady Bodon over half a mile in 51 2-os. On the trial grass, Gold Card, who has been on the easy list since his debut at the Waikato mooting, covered three furlongs in 39 2-os. The Kincardine colt is an attractive galloper. He is engaged on the second 'day at Stratford only during the holidays. Lord Cavendish had two rounds of pacework. He has been given light work since his return from l.icrarton, but ho will be on hand for the Christmas and New Year racing.
