DISPUTE SETTLED
MILLERTON COAL MINE WORK TO RESUME FORTNIGHT'S HOLD UP [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] WESTPORT, Friday Following a meeting of members of the executive of the Millerton Miners' Union and the managers of the Westport Coal Company, an announcement was made that the Millerton dispute had been settled and the miners would resumo work on Monday.
The mine has been idle since November 10, when two shiftmen who were asked to do picking and filling work declined unless paid an extra Is a day, as they claimed that this type of work did not come within the terms of their agreement. As 110 . agreement was reached, the two men left the mine and tho other workers followed them out.
