GOVERNMENT'S POLICY NO ASSURANCE TO IRAK (Received November 15, 5.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, Nov. 14 Questioned in the House of Commons on the nature of any assurances given to the Irak Government regarding the future policy of the British Government in Palestine, the UnderSecretary for Foreign Affairs, Mr. It. A. Butler, replied that no assurance had been given to the Irak Government or any other Government, except that it was the constant desire of the British Government to find a solution which would be just to all parties in the dispute, and that the views of the* Irak Government would be taken into careful consideration.
