NATIONAL DEFENCE
AUSTRALIAN LEAGUE FORMATION IN SYDNEY APPEAL TO LOYAL CITIZENS SYDNEY, Nov. 15 Tho National Defence League of Australia was launched at a meeting in the Sydney Town Hall. It was stated that branches would bo formed,in all other States and in New Zealand. The following resolution was passed:—"That this meeting affirms the vital necessity of every citizen being prepared to render national service for the defence of Australia and its mandated territories and calls upon all loyal citizens to forget party differences as regards the defence of Australia, and urges tho Government to accelerate the compilation of a national register of all men and women capable of assisting in any capacity in defence."
