Miss Rainer's Double

Greer Garson Was spirited off the the London stage to Hollywood by Louis B. Mayer last year. Since then she has been languishing among the immigrant players, rich enough but quite, quite idle. Nobody asked for her until she Went into hospital for an operation. Soon as she came out she Was tested for a part in "Dramatic School," With Luise Rainer. Miss Greer's standing on the stage Was high and her personality vivid. However, although her round features and red head may make her resemble Luise Rainer, the fact Was not obvious until the studio portraits sent from Hollywood suggested that the camera may bring out a resemblance which may have been queering her pitch.
