MOTUTARA DOMAIN

Sir, —During the last Christmas holidays I, among hundreds of others, signed a petition to the Motutara Domain Board requesting the removal of a building which we considered was an eyesore on the Domain. Up to the present no move seems to have been made to vacate these old premises. Surely the wishes of the visitors and campers are worth troubling about, especially when it is understood that the finances of the board are raised mainly by camping and parking fees. I cannot understand why the board is so slow to move in this matter. In all other respects it is a very progressive body, and is doing much to improve the property. I have noticed many improvements during thp last nine months. The domain is certainly a place now to attract those who welcome the camping life. It could be more so, and if the petition mentioned above were given effect to something would be done to preserve the popularity of Muriwai as a pleasure resort. Constant Visitor.
