THE RECENT CRISIS
Sir, —Many people hero in England have commented to me on the great patriotism of which New Zealand has once again given striking evidence during the recent European crisis. Among New Zealanders thero can have been few who, at this time, can have failed to experience feelings of deep satisfaction arising from the cabled message of unconditional support for the Mother Country. At a moment when the issues at stake in Europe were vague but monster in form, New Zealand gave a firm, clear lead to the other Dominions. Surely this is something of great worth in a period of changing values, of which We may be justly proud. E. E. Myers. Sussex.
