WEEK-END ATTRACTIONS
CRICKET COMPETITIONS GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES Most of the summer sports are now under way, and an interesting list of fixtures will provide many attractions for the week-end. The first series of matches in the senior competition of the Auckland Cricket Association will be concluded to-day, and close finishes should be witnessed. Lower grade competitions will be commenced, in addition to the Auckland City and Suburban Cricket Association's matches at the Domain, and the Auckland Business House Cricket Association's competitions. The annual champion of champions match will be played on the Akarana Golf Club's links at the week-end and there will also be a special event, to be known as the Champions Plate, for past senior champions of the club. Tne final of the Auckland Golf Club's championship will be decided to-day between G. W. S. Williams and P. C. Savage. The annual sports of the Auckland Girls' Athletic Association will be held at Carlaw Park to-day, and 21 teams, comprising 400 girls, will take part. Two baseball matches will be played at Blandford Park this afternoon. Pan American Airways meeting Training College and Johns, Limited, playing Pioneers. The Takapuna Amateur Cycle Club will hold its final race of the season to-dav for the Woods Memorial Shield and there will also bo a novicp race. Inter-club bowling matches will be commenced to-day.
