The dog, which is named Bex, will be landed by the Port Townsville at Wellington. Another animal brought by the ship was an Irish-bred yearling colt imported by Mr. P. Corbett, of Hikutaia, Thames. The colt, Douglas Hyde, is by Interlace —Citoyenne.
