SEASON AT MORRINSVILLE [kiiom orrt own < okhksi'ondknt] MOIt IMNSVILLE, Friday A remarkably successful season was reviewed in the report presented at the animal meet in if of the Morrinsvillc Polo Club. The president. Mr. J. II (laddes, presided. The ha la rice-sheet showed that the club had C 24 7s fid cash in the hank, besides a quantity of sticks and other equipment in hand. The report stated that last season the club had 3l» financial and 1(1 playing members. The club's A tenm won the junior cup at the Auckland provincial tournament and a similar trophy at the Saville Cup tournament at Claudelands. The president called for a vote of thanks to Mr. Klaus for coming to the rescue or the club and providing a ground when the recreation ground was not available. Acknowledging the vote of thanks Mr. Klaus said that bis paddock would be availablo again (his year for (he club. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr. W. 8. Goosman; president. Mr. E. W. Jones; vice-presidents Messrs. J. H. Gaddes, L. P. Swarbrick and others, subject to their consent; lion, surgeon, Dr. S. Morrow, hon. secretary, Mr. T. Mellow; assistant-secretary. Mr. W. Mellow; hon veterinary surgeon. Mr. R. G. Hastie; club captain. Air F. Klaus. The Don. Douglas Cup was on view. This is an imposing trophy, standinsr about 18in hi2h. which was presented to the club this year for competition bv Mr. Don. Douglas. On the motion of Mr Klaus the club elected Mr. Douglas its first life member. Presentations were made by Mr. F, Klaus on behalf of members of the club fo Mr Gaddes, been president since the club was formed three years ago, Messrs. L. P. Swarbrick. D. Spence and M. Shanaghan
