WEDDING IN SYDNEY

LADY PATRICIA STANHOPE BRIDE'S PASTEL BLUE FROCK A surprise wedding of much interest to Wellington people took place at St. John's Church, Darlinghurst, Sydney, on September 28.,, The bride was Lady Patricia Stanhope, only daughter of the Earl of Chesterfield, of London, and Mrs. Moataa Doughty, of Wellington, New Zealand, and the bridegroom was Lieutenant lan McDonald. R.A.N., of H.M.A.S. Voyager, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. McDonald, of Adelaide.

Only a few friends of the bride and' bridgegrooni were at the church, whdre Rev. C. A. Lucas officiated at the ceremony. The bride, who was unattended, wore a pastel blue frock and matching coat, on which she pinned orchids, and with it she chose a brown hat and accessories.

There was no reception after the wedding. Lieutenant McDonald and Lady Patricia McDonald have no definite plans, and have taken up residence in Springfield Avenue. Potts Point. Lady Patricia McDonald, who announced her engagement, to Lieutenant McDonald at the beginning of August, has been 011 a short visit to New Zealand, and returned to Sydney by_ the Niagara four days before her marriage
