RUMANIAN BORDER RESTIVE MINORITIES TRANSYLVANIA DISTRICT POSSIBLE CABINET CHANGE By Telegraph—Press Association-»-Copyright (Received October 5, 11.40 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 5 Yet another dispute in the vexed question of ' Central European minorities is indicated by messages from Rumania, as the result of the Munich settlement. Although there is no comment so far in the strictlycontrolled press, Reuter's Bucharest correspondent / says authoritative, circles believe the success of the Sudeten Germans may lead to agitation by the minorities comprising Hungarians and Germans domiciled in Transylvania west of the Carpathians, and Bulgarians in the Dobruja district, in southeast Rumania, on the RumanianBulgarian border.
Officials maintain, however, that it will bo possible to satisfy the minorities without outside intervention. ■
It is expected that King Carol will await clarification of the European situation before altering his Ministry. Diplomatic circles consider that when this occurs the hew Prime Minister will be of Rumanian-Transylvanian oriein. from a district jswopled by Hungarians \ and Germans, and M. Alexander Vaida, the Nationalist-Monarchist leader, i« the most likely choice. On the other hand it is pointed out that the present Prime Minister, Monsignor Miroa Cristea, is also a Transylvanian. > :
MORE DEMANDS HUNGARY'S NOTE RELEASE OF PRISONERB OCCUPATION OF CITIES LONDON, Oct. 4 An official message from Budapest states that the Hungarian Minister to Prague, M. Johann von Westerhain, delivered a Note requesting minority' » negotiations to begin in the next few days, and that ,the demands be carried out quickly and smoothly. The note demanded: — (1) The freeing of Hungarian political prisoners.
(2) Immediate leave for Hungarian soldiers in the Czech Army and permission to return to their homes. ,(3) Organisation of mixed CzechHungarian local police forces. (4) Symbolical relinquishing of Hungarian districts, permitting occupation of two border cities by. Hungarian troops.
.It is stated semi-officially and without confirmation that the Czechs have begun to evacuate stretches along the Hungarian frontier.
