The recovery of the Saai* (1935) and the reoccupation of the demilitarised Rhineland zone (1936) were followed more recently by the march into Austria. Now the acquisition of Czech territorities is contemplated as tho result of the Munich conference. The shaded areas in the map indicate the regions affected by these successive steps.
