SCHOLARSHIP PROPOSAL i [from ottb own correspondent] - HAMILTON, Friday A meeting of- the Auckland Council of Young Farmers' Clubs was helcl'at Ruakura Farm. The chairman of the council and vica-presidejit of the New Zealand Federation, Mr. D. S, Robs, Tg Puke, presided. Approval was given to a suggestion for the provision of scholarships* for club members. The holding o$ stockjudging competitions at thp Royal Show was favoured. It was decided that attention should be giveru to debating contests and to arranging young farmers' club courts at the "Waikato Winter Show. The possibility of arranging tours similar to those organised by othei* districts was discussed. It was decided that such tours would be of material benefit to club members. ,
