HAMILTON'S ROYAL SHOW
GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S VISIT ALTERATION TO ITINERARY [from oub own correspondent] •HAMILTON, Friday Notification 1 of alterations in the itinerary set out for the visit to Hamilton for the Royal Show of Their Excellencies Lord and Lady Galway, was received by the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral v Association from Major R. G. Byron, the GovernorGeneral's military secretary. Lord and Lady Galway would arrive at Frankton Junction on Friday, October 28, stated the letter. They would not visit the Royal Show that morning, but would perform tho official opening ceremony at 1.45 in the afternoon, after which they would remain at the show for some time. Their Excellencies would visit the show again on Saturday afternoon and would leave for Wellington that evening. The association decided to complete arrangements with the Mounted Rifles to act as a military; escort. . A committee to consider amendments to the programme and to discuss the inclusion , of,',various sporting fixtures was set up as follows—Messrs. G. Hinton, D. Hinton, R. Hinton, W.a'1 1 . Luxton, G. Jew. It was decided that a protest committee should comprise Messrs. F.\ R.: Seddon, W. H. Miers, G. Jew, H. J. Finlayson and R. Hin- ; ton I .' . . „ ; ' ■ . Eight new life-members were elected as follows:—Messrs. J. Gaddes, Morrinsville; W. I. Taylor, Ohaupo; W. Cuthbert, Cambridge; S. Reid, Nga* hinapouri; A. B. Collier, Hamilton; F.. Jones, Eureka; J. E. Powell, Hamilton; R.v G. Griffin, Tau'whare. In addition 323 'ordinary members were elected. ' I
