ROWING
JUBILEE CLUB PRESENTATION OF PRIZES The first annual smoke concert of the Jubilee Rowing Club was held in Pearson House, New Zealand Institute for the Blind. Tho president. Mr. D. McPhee, presided, and among those present were Mr. A. C. Nordcn, president of the Auckland Rowing Association, Mr. F Taplin, vice-patron of the Jubilee Club, and Mr. J. Broadfoot. actingdirector of the New Zealand Instituto for the Blind. Apologies for absence were received from Sir Ernest Davis, Mayor of Auckland, and Mr.. S. Donaldson, Mayor of Newmarket. Items were contributed during the evening by Messrs. F. E. Robinson. Tumai Terawera, I?. McGregor, S. Knight, A.- Harptmann and R. Martin. Trophies were presented as follows: Aggregate Points Cup, presented by Sir Ernest Davis for pair-oar competition, A. Lawson and G. Harvey's St. Dunstan's Cup. presented by Mr. D. McPhec, A. Lawson and J. Shortt; Jubilee Cup, presented by Mr. A. Doull, \V. Wilson, T. Shortt, A. Lawson and F. Robinson. The special Mcrccr challenge race medals, presented by Mr. A. C. Nordcn for senior fours, were won by A. W. Wilson, J. Shortt, S. Pender and G. Harvey. Toasts honoured included the following:— The Board of Trustees, proposed by Mr. F. E. Robinson, replied to by Mr. J. Broadfoot; Auckland Rowing Association and kindred clubs, Mr. R. Gherardi. Mr. A- C. Norden; the visitors, Mr. G. Harvey, Mr. Phillips.
