OBITUARY
MR. N. J. SUTHERLAND [from our own correspondent] CIjEVEDON, Wednesday The death lias occurred of Mr. Neil John Sutherland, aged 52, farmer, of Clevcdon South. Mr. Sutherland was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Sutherland, who were among the first to settle in the district. Ho was a successful breeder of Friesian cattle, and was a frequent prize-winner at district shows. He was a member of the executive of the Clevcdon Agricultural and Pastoral Association sinccy its foundation 25 years ago. He had also been president of that body for a term. Mr. Sutherland is survived by his wife, three sons and three daughters. ME. W. BURROWS [from our own correspondent] TE AWAMTTTU, Wednesday The death has occurred of Mr. William Burrows, of Paterangi, aged 95. Mr. Burrows, who spent his early life in County Tyrone, Ireland, where ho raised Shorthorn cattle and Border Leicester sheep and grew flax, came to New Zealand iu 1909. Ho acquired a farm at Paterangi, where he had lived since. Mrs. Burrows died 30 years ago. Mr. Burrows is survived by three sons and five daughters.
