EVANGELISING CRUSADE
PROGRESS IN DOMINION STAFF FOR WESTERN AFRICA Progress of the work of the New Zealand Council of the World-wide Evangelisation Crusade founded by the late 'C. T. Studd was reported at a meeting last night. The Rev. A. S. Wilson presided. Final,, confirmation was given of the acceptance of Sir. J. Daley, of tho Auckland University Evangelical Union, and of Mr. and Mrs. Johnston Freeman, of Nelson, both graduates of the Biblo Training Institute, for work in Western ..Africa.
The secretary, Mr. C. W. Clarkson, announced that Mr. Norman Grubb, the chief London clirector, hqd agreed to make a tour of New Zealand and Australia. ,Hel said that Mr.. Grubb was -widely ( known. as an author and lecturer, and was at present visiting churches and universities in the United States. Mr. Grubb will arrange for a permanent representative of the" crusade ■to be resident in either Australia or New Zealand.
It was reported that the latest development was the decision to gather a fresh batch of 75 recruits for work on the 11 frontiers of the society's opera-r tions, including the outcasts of India. 'Several had already been accepted for training. The Rev. J. D. Jensen was elected :& member of the council. v
