INAUGURAL SOCIAL
NEW ASSOCIATION GLOUCESTER AND SOMERSET A successful inaugural social was held by members of the newly-formed Gloucester-Somerset Association in the Restawhile Lounge on Saturday night. Excellent organisation on the part of tlie ladies' committee and the honorary secretary, Mr. Hatch, contributed to the success of the function, which was largely attended. An address of welcome by the president, Mr. Frank Broad, was followed by an enjoyable programme of musical items by the following:—Mr. L. Paul, who gave Maori songs; Miss Molly Hayres and Mrs. 1). Kulus, who sang; and Mrs. F. C. Webster, who recited. The accompanists were Mr. J. Chignell and Mr. H. Barrington. Community singing was led by the president. A bouquet of flowers was presented to Mrs. Broad by the ladies of the committee.
