MATCHES AT WHANGAREI [from our own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Monday " The weather conditions were responsible for some of the matches set down to he played under the Northland League being abandoned. The grounds were heavy and the ball greasy. The Korthcote-Birkenhead (Auckland) senior reserve team beat City by 7 points to O. Hutchinson scored for ther .winners and Mason converted the try and kicked a penalty. Murray scored for City. Juniors: Porltand, 9, Kensington, 3. Golden Bloom banner: The Auckland Primary Schools League representatives beat the r<ort.hlana fourth grade representatives by 16 points to 0.
