RAIN AT GLAMORGAN MATCH WITH AUSTRALIA COUNTY 148 'FOR FIVE WAITE'S BOWLING FEAT By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright LONDON, August 1 The Australian cricketers to-day resumed their match against Glamorgan at Swansea. Rain again interfered so greatly I with the game that the net result g of the first two days' play was a score of 148 runs' for .the loss of five Glamorgan wickets. When plav began the wicket appeared to be sticky. White and Waite resumed the bowling and sent down four maidens each. The wicket so far appeared to be playing truly, but the batsmen were extremely cautious. Davies should have been run out when he had made 24, Walker missing an attempt to take off the bails. Lunch was taken half-an-hour-date, and there was a crowd of 25,000 when the match was Only 30 runs were added in an hour to-day, although the wicket was not very troublesome. Dyson's stubborn stay of 125 minutes ended when Bradman took a brilliant catch at long-on. E. Davies, after reaching 50 in 140 minutes and being badly missed when he had made 52 and 54, skied a ball to the wicket-keeper. Waite, who bowled unchanged for _ two hours and a-quarter, also got Brierley and D. Davies with off-breaks.
