SERIOUS SITUATION ALARM EXPRESSED PARLIAMENT AND PRESS (Received July 17, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, July 16 Both Parliament and press are alarmed about tho serious situation of British shipping and shipbuilding proposals. They are remarking upon the sharp contrast between British tonnage and the activity in foreign yards. For the first time in history, more tonnage is being built abroad for British firms than is being built in Britain for foreigners.
