COMBINED FUNCTION
AND SAV-AGE CLUBS Representatives of the Auckland and Wellington Savage Clubs and of Orphans' Clubs from all parts of the North Island were present, at the revival of the/annual combined night .of these bodies iteld in the Cambridge Town Hall. Mr. A. H. Todd, of Ashburton, president of the Association of Kindred Clubs of New Zealand, was in the chair. Nearly 300 members attended. I? Mr." Todd announced that Mr. C. A. Finch, of Cambridge, had been elected <She South Auckland representative and of the Savage arid Orphans' Clubs of New Zealand during 'the conference held in conjunction with the jubilee celebrations of the Auckland Savage Club in June. Mf. C. S. Donovan, president of the Thames Orphans' Club, returned thanks on behalf of the visitors and congratulated. the Cambridge members on the successful. revival and organisation of the function. , . . During the week-end the visitors from the South Island were .the guests of the Cambridge Club and were motored to various places of interest in the district; including the Arapuni hydroelectric works.
