DAVSQN—McCREA Tho wedding took place on June 3, nt St. Mary's Church, Kilburn, of Miss Monro McCrea, of Hntaitai, "Wellington, and Mr. Richard Davson, son of Dr. and Mrs. Davson, Surrey. Miss McCrea was attended by Miss Marjorio Barker, of Wellington, as bridesmaid, while Mr. Geoffrey Scarlett was best man. Mr. J. T. Taylor gave tho bride away. KIRKBR IDE—THOMSON A quiet wedding was solemnised on Juno 18 at the homo of Mr. and Airs. M. B. Kirkbride, Mangcro, when their elder son, Mr. Bruce Kirkbride, was married to Mrs. Eleanor Thomson, second daughter of Mr. and Airs. J. Gofton, Christchurch. Tho officiating minister was tho He v. It. J. Currie, of Tuakau. Tho bride, who was given away by her cousin, Mr. L. A. Marquet, wore a frock of royal blue crepe roinaino with lialo hat of the same toning. She carried a sheaf of creani lilies Attending her as bridesmaid was Miss Ruth Kirkbride, who wore a floral taffetas frock with hat and flowers to match. Mr. Gordon Kirkbride, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The reception was held at tho Cornwall Park tea kiosk, where Mrs. Kirkbride received the guests in a frock of violet silk marocain with black volour hat. She carried a posy of violet shaded flowers, Mr. and Mrs. Kirkbride left later for Christchurch, the houie of the bride's parents.
