Mrs L. T. Hapson and the Misses Rnpson, of Epsom, Auckland, arrived in London recently after a trip across Canada. They have taken a flat here for a few weeks, prior to a motor trip through the southern counties and Wales, wroto our London correspondent on June 11.

The Misses R. and M. Gillanders, of Auckland, have completed a round of sightseeing in London and the vicinity, and are now starting on a tour of Scotland and Ireland. Later they will travel on the Continent, wrote our London correspondent on Juno 11.

The Now Zealand friends of Lady Norah Wingfield (nee Lady Norah Jellicoe) will he interested to hear that, a son was horn to her on June 8. at Tilford House, Surrey. Lady Norah's first child —a daughter—was born in March, 1936, wrote our London correspondent on Juno 11.

Mrs Robert Leech, of Leechville, Waikiekie, North Auckland, who has been on » holiday tour of the Waikato, returned to her home at the weekend. Passing through Auckland, Mrs. Leech was the guest of her sister, Miss M. Lempfert, and also of Mrs. Duncan Ross, pf Otahuliu.

Mrs. E. Cottrell, of Rotorua, has booked her return passage by the Orion, due to leave England on Octobor 8. She will break her journey at Melbourne and Sydney before going to New Zealand. At present she is staying at Liverpool, wrote our London correspondent on June 11.

The patients in the Epsom Infirmary were entertained last week with a concert presented by the Radio and Stage Players Concert Party. The programme consisted of vocal and elocutionary items, national, group and tap dancing, humorous numbers and selections by the piano accordeon band. The accompanist was Miss Mollie McCarthy.

An address was given to the members of the Y.W.C.A. Business and Professional Women's Round Table Club by Sister Ivy Jones on conditions and work among Maori women and girls. Sho has worked for the past 10 years amonfe the Maoris in the city. Sister Jones was accompanied by one of her co-workers, a young Maori girl.

Miss Jean Wilson, of who is staying in France with a French family and learning the language, will remain until the end of August, when sho will come buck to London and have a few weeks hero before leaving by tho Orion from Tilbury, on October 8. In July Miss Wilson, with her French hostess, will go to the latter's seaside cottage at Franceville, wrote our London corresponednt on June 11.
