AUSTRALIA TWO AHEAD The test match which was commenced between England and Australia yesterday is the 141st of the series. Australia has won 56 matches, England 54, and 30 have been drawn. Owing to rain the match at Manchester in 1890 was abandoned without a ball being bowled. Of the 77 matches played in Australia, England has won 34, Australia 41, and two have been drawn. Sixtythree matches have been played in England, Australia has won 15 of these and England 20, while 28 have been drawn. On the present tour the Australians have played 14 matches, eight of which have been won while sis have been drawn.
