NOKOMAI OPERATIONS DRY SEASON RESULTS IN LOSS [by telegraph-—OWN correspondent] DUNEDIN, Friday "Owing, to the abnormally dry season ft certain amount of working time was lost, hut., given normal seasons, the directors look forward with confidence to the future," states the sixth annual report, of the Nokomai Gold Mining Company, Limited, for the year ended March sl. The not operating loss for the year was £2545, against £628 in the previous year. Gold won amounted to 11360z., valued at £7969, compared with 2031 07.., worth £7218, in the previous year. The directors' report states that hydraulic elevating and gravel pumping was commenced on June 1, 19.57, and. with the exception of temporary stops for adjustments, has continued up to the present. The two 12in. gravel pumps installed during the year have fully come up" to the directors' expectations and ■ are, proving eminently satisfactory.
