OUTDOOR PAGEANTS
LENGTHY PREPARATION ENGLISH VISITOR'S ADDRESS An interesting address on the subject of outdoor pageants was given at the Victoria League rooms yesterday morning by Miss Margaret Fraser* of London, who has had much to do with pageant work in England. She said the details" behind such productions were immense, and to produce one alone might take about nine months. Speaking of the actual pageant itself. Miss Fraser said that eight to ten episodes of history were usually chosen, and these were so arranged that one episode contrasted with another." A great deal of research work had to be done, especially when a famous man or woman was portrayed, as every detail had to be correct. Miss Fraser was introduced by Mr. L. S. Rickerby, and Mrs. J. B. Macfarlane presided. Hostesses for the morning included: —Mrs. L. S. Rickerby, Mrs. G. E. Adams, Mrs. Roydon' Thomson, Mrs. C. Heather, Miss E. Keesing and Miss E. Walker.
