CALL TO MOUNT EDEN REV. J. D. SMITH TO ACCEPT [by telegraph—own correspondent] DUXEDIN, Thursday A call to the Rev. J. D. Smith, of Kaikorai, to Mount Eden, was considered at a meeting of the Dunedin Presbytery. The Rev. D. C. Herron said that a* he had had charge in Auckland ie could speak on behalf of the Auckland Presbytery. The call was unanimous, and Mount Eden represented a wide field of service as it was a suburb that was rapidly extending. He also emphasised the suitability of Mr. Smith for this particular sphere.
Dr. Salmond said the Mount Edei» church was important and substantial. , and if Mr. Smith went there he would indeed find it a happy call.
