FATAL AIR CRASH
AUSTRALIAN MACHINE THIRD VICTIM'S DEATH A NEW ZEALAND FLIER The New Zealand member of the crew of the Royal Australian Air Force machine, which crashed at the Greenhills aerodrome on Sunday, Mr. Raymond Lawson, died in hospital on Tuesday without having regained consciousness. Private advice to this effect was received yesterday by Mr. Lawson's relatives in Auckland, who were informed that he would be. accorded a military funeral. A Press Association message from Sydney yesterday also announced Mr. Lawson's death and corrected an earlier report that it was Mr. John. Gordon, another member of the crew, who had died. Of the five men in the machine, an Avro Anson, three have now died, and the other two, Messrs. Gordon and James Mackey, are reported to have improved slightly. Mr. Lawson, a married man, with one child, was born in New Zealand 33 years ago. He went to Australia in 1925, and joined the Royal Australian Air Force two years ago, being posted to the City of Sydney Bombing Squadron.
