THE MINING MARKET | METAL SHARES FIRM MOUNT LYELLS IMPROVE A slightly firmer tendency in metal issues was practically the only feature of business in the mining market on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Golden j Crown were marked down sharply on the previous business at the beginning I of the month and Coromandel Gold j also lost ground. Offers for Marthas j were a shade higher.
