INFIRMARY PRESENTATION PATIENT'S OUTSTANDING WORK Organised and composed by Miss Jeanne Mannix, the pantomime "Little Red Riding Hood" was produced before a large audience at the Auckland Infirmary, Epsom, on Wednesday night on behalf of the Onehunga branch of the Hospital Auxiliary.

The producer is an invalid inmate of the infirmary, and for the past 13 years lias been confined to a wheeled bed. Her adversity, however, has not daunted her courage in any way and she had good grounds for gratification on Wednesday with tho appreciation expressed by her fellow inmates and members of the public.

The pantomime comprised all phases of the theatrical art, including orchestral overtures, gracefully executed ballets, choruses and dramatic sketches, all woven round tho story of Little Red Riding Hood. Thoso taking part were Misses Thelma and Irene Yeabury, Dawn Bell, Isabele Ruebin, Shirley Brain, Fay Helshecht, Patricia Loney, Irene Newbold, Shirley Munroe, Master Erin Buckley and tho pupils of Miss Beresford. , . ..

The second pax-t of the programme included sketches by Renee and Fred Catt; "Maggie and Jiggs" by the pupils of Mrs. Catt, and "Merrymakers' Dance" by Misses Jean Brokenshire, Shirley Brain and Shirley Munroe. At tho conclusion of the entertainment Mrs. W. Kirkham, Mrs. H. S. Patterson and Mrs. N. Sutherland, president,, seci'etary and treasurer respectively of the Onehunga branch of the Auxiliary, introduced Miss Mannix to the audience and presented her with a bouquet from branch members. In thanking Miss Mannix, Mrs. Kirkham announced that the proceeds of the entertainment would be devoted to the purchase of winter comforts for the inmates.
