Motor-Cycle Trials
The Velocette Cup trial, which was postponed last February at the end of the first day's run, t'ill be completed to-morrow. A one-day reliability trial will be held in conjunction with the event, and is open to any rider. There will be trophies for competition in both sections of the combined event.
Points lost by competitors in tho Velocette Cup event so far are:—R. Stone, 4J; W. Galvin, 6J; P. Clarkson, 7i; L. Tapp, 12J; J. Holroyd, 13J; K. Kennerly, 10£; A. Turner, 10J; A. Clarkson, 10J; R. Burns, 8i; J. Dale,. 10£; E. Keefe, 7£; C. Brindle, 10£. Advice has been received in Auckland of an outstanding success gained by riders of Ariel machines in the Scottish Six-Day Trial. Riders of theso machines won tho premier award, the runner-up prize, the 250 and 500 c.c. solo cups, the 500 c.c. sidecar trophy and numerous other awards. The trial is one of the most gruelling held in Great Britain.
