LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

No. 3 Remuera Branch.—An address on "Clarity of Speech" was given by Mrs. M. M. McCallum at a recent meeting of the branch, over which Mrs. Wright presided. Solos were sung by Mrs. Keller. Afternoon tea was served. s Kohiinarama. Visitors to the monthly meeting of the Kohimarama branch of the League of Mothers included the provincial president, Mrs. S. 0. English, Mrs. .Utting, Mrs. Silk, Mrs. Fraser (Hamilton), Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Owens, Mrs. F. G. H. Whyte and Mrs. P. I). Wright. Solos were contributed by Mrs. S. C. Williams and an address was given by Mrs. Hodge. The thought for the month was presented by Mrs. H. S. Orr. The opportunity was taken to farewell the president, Mrs. E. It. Allen, who is leaving on a six months' visit to Great Britain, and 011 behalf of the branch, Mrs. C. E. Phillips presented Mrs. Allen with a leather bookholder, and Mrs. English handed her a bouquet. Mrs. Utting presented her also with a bouquet from the provincial committee, and Mrs. Allen was the recipient of yet another from the branch.
