ELECTION RESULTS
Sir, —With the results of the recent municipal and public body elections fresh in our minds it occurs to me to suggest that the excellent body of citizens who have operated as the Citizens and Ratepayers' Association so energetically and with such satisfactory results, continue their good work in conjunction with, or in addition to, those engaged in organising on behalf of the National Party for the ooming Government elections. The Citizens' Association have produced results that are nothing short of phenomenal, and they are to be congratulated upon their successful organisation. The results of the recent election indicate beyond all doubt that the clear-thinking, sane section of the community are awake to the dangers of socialism and caucus rule. If the Citizens' Association does' not disband, but continues to carry on its excellent work and extends its organisation, there is good reason to believe that this wonderful little country of ours will be freed from the grip of the octopus that at present masquerades as the Government of New Zealand. The citizens of Auckland are undoubtedly under an obligation to the Citizens and Ratepayers' Association, and steps should be taken immediately to arrange for an influential deputation to approach the body named with a request that it extend its organisation on behalf of the National Party. Loyalist.
