ALBANIAN WEDDINGS
STATE PAYS EXPENSES KING'S MARRIAGE DAY LONDON, April 28 In celebration of King Zog's wedding to Countess Geraldine Apponi, the expenses of 100 weddings in Albania, held on the same day, were paid at the King's request. King Zog and his bride, in signing the marriage register, dipped their pens in .a silver inkstand, inscribed, 'To Ahmed Zog, President of the Albanian Republic." It was the gift of an Italian insurance company before Zog mounted the throne. Italian aeroplanes showered leaflets as the King and the Queen, still in her wedding dress, left for the honeymoon at a castle given by the people of Durazzo to King Zog Avhen he was President of the Republic.
