SOCIETY OF MUSICIANS
MEMBERS GIVE RECITAL Bowls of golden chrysanthemums and the warm glow of a log fire added charm and comfort to the rooms of the Overseas League last night when a programme of classical music was presented by the Society of Musicians. The president, Mr. E. Varley Hudson, welcomed a large number of members and visitors. Sonatas by Beethoven, the songs of Schubert, and a Chopin ballade were given in response to a general preference indicated by a questionnaire. The pianists were: —Miss Dora Judson, Miss Nancy Vaughan, Miss Nancy Francis, Miss Nina McLeod, Miss Jean Clarkson; the vocalists, Miss Dawn Harding and Mr. Robert Simmers; and the violinist, Miss Helen Gray. Mrs. Fraser was the accompanist. At the close of thp programme fupper was served.
