TANKER ON REEF
MISHAP IN TORRES STRAIT (Received May 4, 5.5 p.m.) BRISBANE, May 4 The British motor tanker Sepia, bound for Sydney from Balik Papan, is aground on the Mecca Reef in Torres Strait, near Thursday Island, where the South African steamer Dalia grounded recently. The Dalia was later refloated. The Sepia is a vessel of 6213 tons, built in 19.36 at Newcastle-on-Tyne. She is owned by the Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Company, Limited. .
