MISSIONARY WORK
METHODIST AUXILIARY Many members from the different branches of the Auckland Methodist Women's Missionary Auxiliary met in the schoolroom of the Pitt Street church for the Easter meetiug on Friday afternoon. After the devotional preliminaries the president, Mrs. A. White, welcomed Mrs. Brooker (Northcote Church), the new minutes secretary of the auxiliary. The speaker for the occasion was the Rev. A. H. Vovce, who with Mrs. Voyce and family is at present on furlough from Bougainville, Mandated Territory of New Guinea. On the platform with Mr. Voyce were associated the Rev. A. H. Scrivin (general secretary of the foreign mission department) and the Rev. F. Copeland (chairman of the Auckland district). Welcoming Air. and Mrs. Voyce, Mrs. White expressed the great pleasure of the members that they were able to be present at the Easter meeting. Mr. Vovce gave a most interesting account of the work which Mrs. Voyce and he were doing on the mission field. At the close of his address the speaker exhibited a strange variety of articles of native craftsmanship. During the afternoon, the vocal solo, "Beside Still Waters" was contributed by Mrs. Ivo Ravnor (Papakura Church). The Easter offering, which was dedicated by Miss Somerville (Onehunga Church), amounted to £B7.
