DAUGHTER SUES MOTHER ARCHDUCHESSES AT LAW (Received April 21, 5.5 p.m.) VIENNA, April 20 The .Archduchess Blancha of Austria has agreed to pay her daughter tho Archduchess of Assunta £lO a month alimony. The Archduchess Assunta, aged 35, sued her mother, the Archduchess Blancha, for alimony. She alleged that at her mother's request sho entered a Barcelona convent 10 years ago, but that she was unable to make up her mind to take the final vows. At the outbreak of the civil war the convent was destroyed. The Archduchess escaped with the help of the Austrian Consul, but on her arrival in Vienna was received coldly by her mother. When she opposed tho suggestion that she should enter another convent, her mother boxed her ears and turned her i out of tho house. The Archduchess Assunta alleged that her mother did not pay her "keep" at the convent as she had agreed to do, and that she was forced to pay for her board from her father's legacy. She stated that she was penniless. Another lawsuit, sho said, was in progress in which she was seeking the payment by her mother of £560, the remainder of the legacy from her father.
