WIN FOR CLERGY TEAM The Church of England clergy played the annual match against St. John's College, the training .college for tho Anglican ministry of New Zealand, at tho Auckland Domain, tho clergy winning on the first innings. Scores:— St. John's: First innings, 33 runs (Norman 11). Rev. Beech took four wickets for 7 runs. Clergy: First innings, 120 (Rev. Hoerdcgon 30, Rev. Cartridge 30, Rev. Vickery 12). Gourdio captured five wickets and Arlidgo two. St. John's: Second innings, 03 (Clarke 56, Riley 14). Rev. Hcerdegen took fivo wickets, including tho "hat-trick." The clergy just missed an innings victory, winning by 87 runs on the first innings.
