FINANCIAL POSITION [BY TELEGRAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT] DARGAVILLE, Thursday The financial statement for the >year ended March 31, 1938, presented at the monthly meeting of the Dargaville Borough Council, revealed that although the general account, showed a debit balance of JL'o"B, as against £6o.'! at the beginning of the year, the position was regarded as satisfactory, a deficit of £ooo being anticipated when the estimates • were being prepared. The rate collection for the year 1937-38 was again 86 per cent.
