Strombom, 2 up and 1 to plav, in the final at the Xgamotu links today. In the semi-finals Sutherland beat J. Holden, 3 and 1, while Strombom beat T. A. Thomson, 1 up. Sutherland played great golf to dispose of Holden, reeling off 17 holes in two over fours, but the play in the final was only moderate. In the final of the Dobson Cup, the coneluding event of the Easter golf tournament at Shirley, J. L. Blair heat J. W. Jackson, 3 and v>. In the semi-finals in the morning Blair beat A. R. Blank and Jackson bent R. D. Frizzell. The Dobson Cup is the virtual amateur match play championship of Canterbury.
