SOUTHERN THREE-YEAR-OLD Icing, a fancied candidate for the Great Northern Oaks on the opening day of the Auckland Racing Club's autumn meeting at Ellerslie on Saturday. Owned by Mr. G. M. Currie and trained by W. Rayner, Icing recorded a pleasing performance in running third in the Awapuni Gold Cup, which will probably cause her to start favourite in the Oaks.
