PIGEON FLYING
NORTHERN RACING CLUB The Northern Racing Pigeon Club held its annual young bird derby from Levin. The birds encountered strong northerly winds and many of them failed to cover the distance on the day of liberation. The four prizewinners were:—Mr. S. Webb's blk p c Eden Derby, 78'Jyds per min., 1; Mr. R. Davies' b c h Logan Queen, 781 yds. per min., 2; Mr. N. JVaddelPs blk h 07, 77fjyds. per min., 3; Mr. N.
