AUCKLAND INFIRMARY
INMATES ENTERTAINED An entertainment organised by Mrs. A. F. Kelsall under the auspices of the Onehunga branch of the Auckland Hospital auxiliary was presented for the inmates of the Epsom infirmary on Wednesday night. The programme included instrumental, vocal and elocutionary items intersjiersed with dances. The Excelsior orchestra, under the leadership of Mrs. R. Hutchison, assisted by Mr. R. Hutchison, Mr. S. Gomas and Mr. W. Gomas, played several selections while songs were sung by Mr. T. Long and amusing character sketches by Mr. W. Hopkins. A variety of national dances was given bv Miss Nancy Sheehan, Miss Marjorie Sheehan, Masters J. Sheehan and J. Reed to accordcon accompaniments played by Mrs. Charles Wells. Miss Marjory Sheehan gave recitations. Mrs. 11. Hutchison played the pianoforte accompaniments and Mr. T. Long acted as stage manager. The concert party was accorded a hearty vote of thanks by the inmates on the motion of Mr. T. Floyd.
