TYPHOID AT ARAPUNI PA

FOUR MAORIS IN HOSPITAL ONE A DEFINITE CASE [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] HAMILTON, Thursday Three Maori children and a Maori man from the pa at Arapuiii have been admitted to tho Waikato Hospital with symptoms of typhoid fever and one has been diagnosed as a definite case. The other three are remaining under observation at tho hospital, while this evening an ambulance was despatched to the pa to bring in two moro Maoris who arc suspected to have contracted tho disease.

The medical officer of health in Hamilton, Dr. H. B. Turbott, stated to-day that the people at tho pa had been inoculated and all measures were being taken by the district, nurse to prevent the spread of the fever. It is suspected that the outbreak originated at a large Mafflri gathering held recently at tho pa.
